No stress, just paradise – welcome to Nosy Be!
Adji – Your Guide to Nosy Be and Northern Madagascar
Mbola tsara, hi there! My name is Adji – I was born in Ambilobe, but for several years now I’ve been living and working on the beautiful island of Nosy Be.
I’m your guide, translator, and sometimes even photographer 📸 – basically, the guy who’ll make sure you truly enjoy your time in Madagascar.
I speak French, English, Italian, Polish, and of course Malagasy, so we’ll understand each other even if we somehow get lost in the jungle (which, of course, almost never happens 😄).
I’ll take you to the most beautiful places of Nosy Be, the surrounding islands, and the north of Madagascar – and if you’d like, we can even travel together to the legendary Baobab Avenue.
Traveling is my passion – I love nature, local culture, and a good laugh – so with me, you can expect not only stunning views but also plenty of smiles.
And don’t worry, I’m university educated, so I can even explain the baobabs to you scientifically… if you really want. 🌴😉
Hungry adventurer? Don’t worry! All island trips with me include a delicious local lunch – freshly caught, locally cooked, and probably eaten with your feet in the sand. ![]()

Trips to Nosy Be and surrounding islands
Nosy Komba + Nosy Tanikely
Lemurs & snorkeling
Nosy Komba – „Lemur Island“ is a small volcanic island in Madagascar, located between the island of Nosy Be and the northwestern coast of the main island of Madagascar. It is roughly circular in shape and rises sharply to a plateau and the peak of Antaninaombi in the middle of the island. The lowlands of the island are divided between secondary forest and a mosaic of farmland and plantations (mainly including shade-grown coffee), while the highlands are mainly composed of shrubland. The island experiences the severe drought typical of northwestern Madagascar and is dotted with bamboo and trees of the Fabaceae family, along with non-native mango and jackfruit. The island hosts a diverse range of reptiles and amphibians, although their abundance has been slightly reduced by deforestation in the past.
Nosy Tanikely is a marine national park and an extraordinary island in the Indian Ocean, ideal for diving and snorkeling. The island is full of coral reefs and exotic fish that can be seen in the clear water. The highest point of the island offers a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape and distant horizons.

Nosy Antsoha and continue to Nosy Iranja
Pearl in the Indian Ocean
A trip to the islands of Nosy Antosha and Nosy Iranja is an unforgettable adventure that will take you into a wonderful world of natural beauty and fascinating local culture.
Although smaller and less well-known than Nosy Iranja, Nosy Antosha is an island full of surprises. It is located near the northwestern coast of Madagascar and is surrounded by the turquoise blue waters of the Indian Ocean. The island is home to a rich fauna (lemurs) and flora, making it an ideal place for nature lovers and photographers.
What can you expect on Nosy Antosha?
Natural beauty: The island is covered in lush vegetation and offers magnificent views of the surrounding ocean.
Marine life: The crystal clear waters around the island are ideal for snorkeling and diving. You can spot various species of fish, corals and, if you are lucky, even sea turtles. Peaceful atmosphere: Nosy Antosha is less touristy, which means you can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.
Continue to Nosy Iranja
After exploring Nosy Antosha, the journey continues to the main destination of the trip, the island of Nosy Iranja. It is famous for its white sandy beaches and is often described as one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Connecting sandbar: Nosy Iranja consists of two islands connected by a long sandbar, which is visible at low tide. Lighthouse: On the larger of the islands there is an old lighthouse, from which there is a breathtaking view of the entire island. Local culture: The island is inhabited by local residents who are engaged in traditional fishing and crafts. You can get acquainted with their way of life and taste local delicacies.

North of Madagascar
Recconect with life
Adventure to the North – from Nosy Be to Diego Suarez. The day starts early – so early you won’t even have time for your morning coffee.
We set sail at dawn from the port of Hell-Ville, crossing the sea to Ankify. The morning breeze and rising sun will wake you up better than any espresso.
This is an example of a 4-day / 3-night trip filled with discovery, nature, and a touch of adventure. You’ll spend the first night in Ambilobe, and the next two nights in Diego Suarez, giving you plenty of time to explore and enjoy the north at an easy pace. ![]()
In Ankify, our driver will be waiting, ready to take us on a northern adventure.
Our first stop is the Cyril Cocoa Plantation, where you’ll discover how chocolate begins its life on the tree – and yes, it smells even better than it tastes. We continue to the Ankarana National Park, a land of caves, hanging bridges, bizarre rock formations, and majestic baobabs standing like ancient guardians of time. You might spot lemurs, chameleons – or a lemur trying very hard to be a chameleon.
From there, we head toward Ambilobe, a vibrant town full of colors, markets, and the lively rhythm of Malagasy life. Nearby, we’ll visit a sapphire mining area, where you’ll see how these blue treasures are unearthed from the red soil of Madagascar.
Our next stop is the incredible Tsingy Rouge, a landscape of red stone spires that look like they were sculpted by another planet. A perfect place for photos that no one will believe are real – until they see them. We finish our journey in Diego Suarez (Antsiranana) – a town with soul, colors, and a stunning view of the famous Emerald Sea.
And because endings should be unforgettable, we’ll also stop by the Three Bays, where the sea, calm, and paradise meet. This is just one of several possible routes to the north of Madagascar – each can be adjusted to your time, interests, and sense of adventure. One thing’s for sure: the north of Madagascar will steal your heart – even without the morning coffee.
